Fidget Spinners

Posted by Lars VanKessel on

Love 'em or hate 'em, fidget spinners are everywhere.

Vape shops are starting to carry them, because there is some overlap in vapers and gadget geeks and well fidgeters... not to mention, these things sell.   High end spinners go for upwards of $1000 USD.

Someone brought up a point the other day when another customer asked when we would be getting more in (probably another week) and said - kids are running into these vape shops and wanting to buy these spinners, it's just another thing that "they" are going to use against us in the common accusation of you're just trying to recruit kids to vaping/smoking.

We haven't had any kids asking about them yet or coming in to get them, but we also ID and have a "you must be 19 to enter" sign on the front door.  We have had parents getting them for their "ADHD kids" saying they are sold out everywhere.

So, do you like these spinners?  Should vape shops be selling them?  Like wire/cotton or batteries, if it's sold in a vape shop - does that make a fidget spinner a tobacco product?

I'd love to hear what you think...
